When will we be free of masks?

I know that's it's for our own protection and all.
Still, it's kinda tiring to wear mask all the time. Sometimes, it's even suffocating and yet we can't take it off and it's against the rules here. So, do you think we will ever be free of these face masks?
If so, how much time do you think it will take? (COVID related discussion)

Not until end of next year I think lol I know what you mean though we have to wear them in shops and stuff but I work in a residential care home and have to wear one 11 out of the 12 hour shifts it's the best feeling taking that mask off after such long hours wearing it, xD

They'll likely still be recommended for a few years yet, but hopefully they'll stop being mandatory soon enough.. Possibly as early as next summer?

I personally *hate* wearing a mask, which I do even though I'm technically exempt due to a health condition.

I don't wear them anyway since I'm exempt from wearing them and so I walk into the store and not need to worry about it. End of the day they can't force you and they don't bother you. I do get people looking at me at times but they are not fussed. Feels weird that walking around the store and everyone else is wearing them. People are fed up anyway and most people want to do what they want to do and get out and live there lives and not worrying about others.

FOr the UK I think it be a good long six months of this. If not till there are resuilts out.

Crazy to think people are still wearing masks but I understand the fear. I think it just makes more sense to wear one if you ARE sick, not to prevent yourself from getting sick. That never made any sense. Japan has been doing this for awhile. If you are sick and go out, it is like a kind thing to wear a mask and keep your germs to yourself.
