I've been more of a ghost than Gengar these last couple of years.
I just want to thank you all for your patience in my return to getting my arse into gear and posting on here.
I've been away, far far away... Not by distance, but within my own head. I haven't been that far away from some of us on here. I've only been on the otherside of Europe.
I've been spending most of the last two years in Ukraine, working with an organisation called Food for Life, this particular branch being based in Odesa. Food for Life is one of many charitable organisations helping people on the ground, not just in Ukraine, but they have worldwide backing through the Hare Khrisna movement.
Whilst I've done a lot of time in religion myself, having studied the bible for 15 years on & off, something about this particular organisation really stuck out too me. Simply put, what sticks out for me, is their humanity and the cause that people should not go hungry, no matter what.
Food for Life even operates in modern day England, down in London.
But Food for Life Odesa, what we are undertaking sees us going into very dangerous scenarios, in places like Kherson city. There is a constant drone warfare now and during my time there I've experience dodgy situations as we would come under intense shelling attack, whilst trying to simply go on our food distrubution runs throughout the city.
To better understand what we do down there, let me share this video with you from our recent trip down there back closer to Christmas. I'll pop the TikTok link below.
Having spent so much time over there the last couple of years, it's difficult right now to divulge every piece of information.
But in the next TikTok video link, I'll give you an example of what it's like to come under shelling...
Here is another video I want to share.
I've spent a lot of time in Kherson and Odesa.
But also I've been spending time in Dontesk region and when I'm away from the so called danger zones, I get some rest in Lviv, but even in Lviv, we can come under heavy heavy attack. The following video found myself taking a much needed rest in Lviv, only to have an awful night of several missiles coming towards us in the west, next to the Polish border, the EU frontier.
It's been an intense journey the last couple of years to say the least.
I'll endevavour to keep up on the ol' Pokemon posts though, I've been getting back into the series recently with Pokemon Blue 2.0, which will allow me to fill up the Pokedex without the need for trading.
)
So I'll leave you guys with one more video below and I'll try to be around more often!
