How many computers would you say you've gone through in your life? I would say maybe 4 computers. I lived poor, so we didn't have many PCs, and I kind of lived on hand-me-downs, so I got my bros PC when I was a kid and that thing didn't work at all really. Finally I got myself some good PCs and been good ever since. :D

But yeah, how many have you gone through yourself?
 
There's been 3 family ones if my memory serves right. As for myself, with computers being a massive hobby I'll always build another before I really need to upgrade. I originally had a Mac mini for garageband, then a pre-built Dell, and now my last 3 computers have all been self-built.

Too many to count I'd say. My parents had a laptop each, and so did my siblings and mysefl. We also had one desktop PC in the house for everyone to use if we needed it. We didn't use it a lot, but when we did, it was usually to blast out music for family gatherings and all that fun stuff. I also have a fair share of old and new tablets.

We went through 2 family PC's while I was growing up.. Both Packard Bell - which gives you some indication as to how old they were ?! The first was a Pentium II 233MHz, 4GB HDD..

Then my brother bought a PC which he took with him when he moved out. I bought one soon after, which I initially exchanged due to a fault and kept for several years until it just got in the way, and it got thrown in a skip!

I'm currently sporting a 9-year-old laptop.. but I'm contemplating whether or not to pull the trigger on buying this:

We've gone through lots of damn PCs in my family, 7 Desktops and about 6 or so Laptops in the last 20ish years. :v

Most recent ones are a few work Laptops and my brother's custom build.

I believe that would be two.
One laptop and one desktop. Well, I don't consider just monitors alone when it comes to a computer. So far, I had to replace 3 monitors for my current desktop computer.

I believe my laptop would die pretty soon. It's been close to 5 years and it's making very weird sounds.

Lmao thats it dude, it does sound very Garageband-y but I still think its a great program for someone whos literally never recorded a song in their life

I got my first one during the 2003. And after that I got the laptop in 2010. After that I got another of my laptop in 2015. And that has worked out for me so far. I also purchased two laptops in 2020. So that is like 5 laptops so far. I know there seems to be a lot of less need for buying on regular basis but laptops get damaged over the years. So yeah that happens when you are using the laptops. I would consider getting desktop when I have my own house.

If I count from the pentium Era then I have had close to 4 pentium desktops and two core 2 duo ones. Right now on my third Windows laptop and have a Mac as well so getting close to using up 10 computers in my 15 years of using them?

If I'm including my family laptops which I mainly used, then I would say 3. But my current laptop is the first one that I bought myself and the one that I exclusively use. I probably won't get another one for a few years because I'm pretty happy with it.

I’ve gone through about 5 laptops in the past 4 years ? however I’ve just purchased a 2 grand one that isn’t going to be going anywhere any time soon.

Family ones? Hmm, I think...we've gone through >10 at this point, and I've lost count. For my own, I've gone through about four now. First one's backlight blew out, so that rendered it unusable, second one I installed Filmora Wondershare and it somehow rendered my Windows license "illegal", and then the third one had a graphics card failure issue. This is the only computer I've had in awhile that isn't slow, but the keyboard doesn't work without taping something down, so I'm looking to eventually replace it.

I have gone through 5 laptops and 3 desktops. One of the laptops got fried cause I was downloading stuff I shouldn't have been. lol This was my first laptop I owned. My latest one still looks brand new cause I take such good care of it even though I have had it for 4 years at this point.
