Graphic Shops!

Hey everyone, I'm almost finished working on a new system for the site here so I figured it was a good time to announce it!

From now on, it's possible to set up your own personal shop for users to request you to make them a custom sig/avatar! Click here to see a list, though there's also a handy link placed on the main Shop page too.

This system is tied to the general Shop and will deduct whatever amount the artist has set as a price from your wallet and adds it to theirs. It has a transaction log so you can make additional comments, and every action gets logged - confirmation of a submission, anytime the artist updates the image, when they get paid, etc. So it'll be easy to see who's trying to cheat out our dear artists! ;)

This is, of course, very much WIP, and in fact not all the features are currently implemented. It's not yet possible to see a list of a shop's completed requests, for example.

How Do I Open a Shop?
  ==> First, you need 200 Yen
  ==> Buy the Graphic Shop item from our General Shop
  ==> Use the item to add +1 to your profile. This will also redirect you to the page you input a shop name and image previews.

For now though, go bombard [member=4]ObsidNyko[/member] with requests!

An update on this, I purposely left the code as generic as I could so it would be easier to add different kinds of stores in the future... so now we have Profile Shops so you can request skins for your profile!

Thanks! :D and you totally should, outside of the User Shops our regular Shop has badges and username effects you can buy. You should be able to afford 1 username effect with the amount you got from registering.

A quick update on GFX & Profile shops:

The "shop license" items required to open your own shop has been dropped from 200 to 150 for a Profile shop, and 100 for a GFX shop. We also feel they're too hidden away (currently only accessible through the general Shop) and while no alternative has yet been thought of, expect another announcement on that sometime soon. we have simply added them to the "Shop" link as a dropdown, much like the different Profile links.

An update on how these operate in FF1.5

GFX or Profile Style requests should go in their respective sub-boards in the Tracker. These are open requests that any GFX/Profile Style artist can accept, rather than requesting a specific artist like in SMF. Though you can always ping an artist with @ if you would prefer for them to fulfill your request (though they may be too busy!)

Becoming an artist, and thus having the ability to accept/complete requests, is quite similar to SMF - you simply navigate to the Shop and buy the respective item, allowing you to use the "Accepted" and "Completed" prefixes in the boards. You will also be able to make a sticky thread to showcase your work.
There is no way to specify a price like on SMF, so artists should make sure to specify a price in a reply to the request.
