A bit of investigation and I've discovered the current PoTD is actually a made up pokemon by Smogon (who develop Showdown).
I don't think I'll outright remove these made up pokemon from our Dex, as I plan down the road for it to be a useful resource for Showdown tournaments, but I think it is a good idea to stop them from appearing as the PoTD.
